1.8 Home Pt 2

This chapter is Rated R.  (Slight violence)

Author’s note:  I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately, and my apologies for how long it took for this chapter to be released.  I’ve been sleeping way too much, and all the motivation I can muster up goes to deciding what movie or show to watch on Netflix, so yeah…Also.  I know this generation is taking forever, but I want to do the best I can at wrapping up all the story lines I have going on, as my goal was to tell a good story first no matter how long it takes. 🙂

Also, I added more links to my Custom Content page, and I hope I haven’t left anything out.  As always, let me know if I’ve missed anything, as I have tons of CC and it can be very hard sometimes remembering where I got them all, especially with the poses as I have about a bazillion of them.  The list should be pretty accurate though! 🙂

The sound of the wind and rain dulled the sounds of my racing heart as I stared up at the angry sky.  The air between my grandmother and I was thick with tension, like the awkward silence between two new friends.  The question I had yet to answer, echoed in my brain like the rolling thunder above…

Screenshot-5

“What do you mean?” I said neutrally, keeping my face impassive, finally deciding to answer her question.  I kept my hands folded primly In my lap, even though the tip of my nose itched fiercely.  I ignored the itch and widened my eyes–the look of innocence, like that of a new-born baby.

“Ever since you were a little girl I could tell when you were holding something back from me.  It’s your eyes sweetheart.  They give it away every time.” Meredith smiled at me, reaching towards me and pressing one manicured finger tip against my nose.  “I can tell there is something you’re not telling me.”

Screenshot-3

I turned away from my grandmother and looked out into the pouring rain, watching little drops of rain hit the porch railing and bounce off into the grass.  I should have known coming here was a mistake.  Did I really expect I could keep all this a secret from the woman who raised me?  When I was a teenager I remember thinking she could have been a member of the FBI, trained to detect liars based on their facial expressions alone.  Maybe I wanted her to find out the truth.  Maybe then some of this crushing weight would be lifted from my shoulders.

“It’s kind of a long story…” I muttered closing my eyes, inhaling the fresh scent of the rain.

Screenshot-4

“I’m not going anywhere.” Meredith said firmly, taking my hand from my lap and holding it between her hands for warmth.  I could feel the heat from her hands zing up my arm, giving me the courage to open up to her–it wasn’t like I had a choice on the matter anyways.  As the saying goes–‘the truth shall set you free.’  We’ll see about that…

How does one reveal to their grandmother that not only are they on the run from their new boyfriends psycho grandfather, but that they are pregnant as well, it was really too bad that Hallmark didn’t make a card for something like that.  I smiled, bitterly.

ScreenshotScreenshot-2

“I’m pregnant.” I admitted, removing my hands from her grasp and raising them to my face as I dissolved in tears.  It felt good to finally tell her the truth.  I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.  I truly felt like Atlas, carrying the weight of the world squarely on my shoulders…

“I had a feeling.” Meredith said softly, reaching out and touching my shoulder gently.

“How?” I asked through my tears, everything blending together like watercolor in the rain.

“A mother’s instinct.” Meredith smiled wryly.  “You’ll find out about that one day.”

“That’s not all…” I hiccupped, tears streaming down my face.  “But I don’t want to tell you, I’m so scared…”

“You can tell me anything.” Meredith said, lifting my chin to face her.  She leaned forward, her green eyes staring into mine, intently.  I could trust her.  It would feel good to unload this awful secret.

So I did.  I told her everything.  That was the funny thing about secrets, they couldn’t stay secret for very long….

Leaning against the doorway to Mika’s room I couldn’t help but smile as I watched him.  He looked so relaxed and peaceful, it had been so long since I seen him like this with his brow relaxed, not furrowed in a frown, his brows drawn together over dark eyes.  He looked sweet.  Peaceful, as he thumbed through one of my old books.

Screenshot

“I never pegged you for a VC Andrews fan.” I cleared my throat, taking a step further into the room.  Mika looked up momentarily startled, dropping the book into his lap.  He smiled up at me, his dark eyes brightened.

“Well I guess you learned something new about me then.” Mika laughed, picking up my old, dog-eared copy of ‘Flowers in the Attic’ and setting it on the end table beside him.  “What a messed up book.  Makes me feel much better about my own life.  How could you read something so demented?” He questioned, giving me one of his trademark sideways grins.  “That book made my family look like a bunch of saints, and that’s really saying something!”

Screenshot-2Screenshot-3

He sat up on the bed and scooted over, patting the bedspread beside him.  I sat next to him wordlessly, leaning forward with my elbows on my thighs.

“I told her everything.” I said finally, picking at a loose string on the bedspread.  Unsure of how to begin this conversation, I just jumped right in with both feet.

“Oh?” Mika replied, holding his breath for one long second before blowing it out, his bangs lifting then resting gently on his brow.  “How did it go?  I haven’t heard any screaming, or dishes being thrown, and she hasn’t confronted me with a shotgun yet.” Mika said grabbing my hand and raising it to his lips, grinning softly.

Screenshot-5

“She took it better than I expected.  I expected her to break down, to yell and scream, and tell her I was throwing my entire life away.  I should have given her more credit than that.” I said sadly, feeling guilty for always assuming the worst of every situation.  “She likes you, Mika.  She sees the good in you just like I do.  Is she concerned, oh god yes.  I had to convince her to not call The Department of Homeland Security.” I exaggerated, laughing lightly, pinching the bridge of my nose to stem away the oncoming headache.  “I told her that we would stay for a while, and figure something out.  Tell me that’s ok.” I looked into Mika’s eyes pleadingly.

As exciting as it sounded running off with Mika to some exotic location, I just couldn’t do it.  I wasn’t that selfish girl anymore, that would be willing to leave her family behind.  No, the new Madeline was a fighter, and I would go down swinging until the very end…

Screenshot-4

“Madeline, it would kill me if something happened to your family.  I should have never involved you in this.  I should have left and never came back.  You would be better off if I wasn’t so selfish.” I watched him berate himself, and I hated to see him do that to himself.

“Stop!” I commanded.  “Don’t say shit like that Mika.  We’ll figure this out!  Maybe involving the police is the right thing to do.  Can you at least think about that for a little bit before you out right dismiss it.  They aren’t all corrupt Mika.  We aren’t in North Port anymore.” I stared into his eyes, begging for him to understand.

Screenshot-6

“You don’t think I know that, Madeline?  You don’t think I’ve thought of that every second of every waking hour?  I wish it was so easy as to just go to the cops, let them figure it out.  They’ll protect us…  It’s not that easy, I wish it was. God do I wish it was that easy.” He stared into my eyes intently, his dark eyes burning into mine.   “What about the people who work for my Grandfather?  He can give out the order to hunt us down from anywhere, even behind bars.  We’ll never be safe.”  He shook his head stubbornly gazing at the wall with guarded expression.

Screenshot-7

“So that’s it then?  We bury our heads in the sand and run?  Where are we going to go?  What are we going to do for money?  Is that the kind of life you want for our baby, to always be looking over our shoulders?  I don’t want to run anymore.  If there is anything I’ve learned is that family sticks together, and I can’t leave mine.” I looked up at him stubbornly, tears streaming down my face.

Screenshot-8

There was a knock on the bedroom door.  “We’ll talk about this later.” I whispered, standing, and wiping the tears from my eyes.  “Come in.” I was proud that my voice didn’t waver.

Screenshot-9

“Madeline, I just picked up a gift basket for our new neighbors across the street.  I thought you and I could go over there together and welcome them to the neighborhood.”  Meredith said, giving me a concerned look with a slightly raised brow.  She could obviously sence the animosity in the air between Mika and I, and it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to tell that I had been crying.

“Sure, that sounds good.  Looks like the rain is letting up.” I said jumping to my feet.  I loved Mika, but right now, I needed some space, and I was pretty sure that he felt the same way as I did.

Screenshot

“Everything ok back there? Meredith asked, as I followed her out into the front yard, the ground soft and spongy from the rain beneath my feet.

“Just a difference of opinion.” I muttered staring down at the grass that glistened with the remnants of the rain.

Screenshot-2

“I really think you should go to the police.” Meredith stated as she crossed the street.

I walked ahead, and looked back over my shoulder, and said nothing.

“When Melissa disappeared, the detective assigned to her case was a blessing.  You can trust him.  Can you at least think about it?”

“I’ll take it under advisement.” I muttered, my head throbbing.  This had already been discussed to death, and I didn’t feel like getting into it again.

Screenshot-3

The house across the street has always given me the creeps.  When I was little, the neighborhood kids all said it was haunted.  The old lady who had lived there was rumored to suck the souls out of trespassers, leaving nothing but an empty husk behind.  I wasn’t that frightened child anymore, jumping at shadows, afraid of the boogeyman, yet I couldn’t get past the feeling that something bad was going to happen.

ScreenshotScreenshot-2

“This place looks deserted.  Are you sure someone really bought this dump?” I asked, following my grandmother up the porch steps which creaked and groaned under our weight, and peered into the window.

“That’s rude.” My grandmother scolded me.  “This place isn’t a dump, it’s a beautiful old place that just needs a little TLC.”  She knocked on the door, which swung open on rusty hinges.

“If you say so.” I muttered, leaning against the rough wooden siding.

“Hello?” My grandmother called out, pushing open the door further and disappearing inside.

Screenshot-3

“What are you doing?” I hissed, wincing as the door shut behind me, the sound seemed to echo throughout the empty house.  “See empty.  Are you happy?” I asked, looking around wildly, the feeling unease growing with every echoing step.

“Well then they wont mind if I take a little look around then.” Meredith smiled at me, ever the busy body.

“This is a bad idea.  This house gives me the creeps.” I announced, rubbing my arms briskly.  Even though it was the end of summer, the house was cool and damp, and musty smelling from years of neglect and abandonment.

Screenshot-4

“This place is huge.” Meredith said, her tone was awestruck.  “Look at the crown molding, and the antique light fixtures.”

“Yeah, they’re beautiful.  Can we go now?” I rolled my eyes.  Getting arrested for trespassing wasn’t very high up on my list of things I wanted to do today.  I wanted to go home, and crawl into a nice hot bath, and then curl up in my bed and do some much needed soul searching.  Was that too much to ask?

Screenshot-5

“Haven’t you always wanted a house like this?” Meredith smiled, running a finger down the fireplace mantle, no doubt checking for dust bunnies.

“No, not really.  This place smells like mothballs.” I frowned, edging towards the door.  “Just leave the gift basket, and let’s get going before you get arrested.  I swear, if the cops show up I’m totally saying this was all your idea.”

Screenshot-6

“Madeline, you’re so dramatic.” Meredith laughed lightly.

“And your nosey.” I stated, crossing my arms across my chest tightly.

Meredith set the gift basket on the fireplace mantle, and turned towards me.  “Alright, we can go now.” She smiled.

Screenshot-7

“About time.” I breathed, reaching for the doorknob, eager to get out of this creepy, musty, dark ancient house, and into the bright and comforting sunshine.

Screenshot-8

Before I could turn the door nob, I froze, the tiny hairs on the back of my neck standing at attention.  I heard footsteps quickly approaching us from behind, and before I could open my mouth to issue a warning, I felt something crack against the side of my head.  My vision wavered, and as I went down to my knees, I raised a hand to touch my head.  My fingers coming back wet, the blood glistening almost black on my pale hands.

Screenshot-9Screenshot-10

With my cheek stuck to the floor in a rapidly coagulating pool of my own blood, I closed my eyes, gagging from the pain, and from the scent of my own blood.  My grandmother! I thought, panic surged through my stomach, making my vision dim.  I reached out to feel for her, praying that she was ok.  Instead, my hand rested upon a shoe.  A man’s shoe, my fingers wet with my own blood slipping off the expensive leather loafer.  I swept my gaze up the leg, encased in an expensive looking suit, before resting upon a strange, yet slightly familiar looking face.

“This is a little harsh for trespassing.” I choked out, my eyes closing from the pain as a tear trickled down my cheek intermingling with the blood that pooled beneath my cheek.  “I take it you don’t like the gift basket?” I sighed, my vision growing dimmer.  “Why didn’t you just say so?” I murmured, and then passed out.

  1. OMG!?!? What a cliff-hanger!
Please let Meredith be okay, they only just got back to each other! I loved this chapter, it was everything it needed to be. It was sweet, it was tense, and then it was just shocking.
Lets hope Mika comes over like a knight in shining armor, protecting his new little family.

I’ve got goosebumps! Seriously can’t wait for your next chapter. I’m happy to see you gathered motivation from somewhere to finally make this chapter happen. Now I think the title is a little ironic, like “Home?” hahaha.

Loved every second of it. Really.

Oh by the way, you’re on that page I said you’d be on. 😉 Just incase you haven’t noticed.

    Great job. 🙂

    • Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I put each of them away in my pocket to save for a rainy day when I’m feeling down, and I re-read them to cheer me up.

I’m glad the chapter gave you goosebumps, and you are looking forward to the next chapter. It was tough to find the motivation this week. Like I said I’ve been sick and just feel like sleeping.

Thank you so much for adding me to your page, I just saw actually before I read this comment. That’s so awesome and made my day!

Thanks for reading and commenting Sarah. 🙂

  2. Oh man, talk about a cliff hanger! I had a bad feeling about that house when they were going up to it. I really hope someone comes and helps before things get worse. Also, I loved how Madeline was being sarcastic in such a stressful situation, but hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite her in the butt. Great chapter, and I hope you feel better soon 🙂

    • I am fond of cliffhangers. I always struggle to find proper endings for each chapter, and it seems as though cliffhangers are the easiest. 🙂 LOL.

Yeah, I liked her sarcasam too. I’m like that, big time. When I’m in a bad mood, hurt, or sick, or just plain bitchy, I get really sarcastic, so that was infusing a little bit of me into this chapter, because if someone knocked me out with a baseball bat up against the head I would totally mention that they didn’t like the gift basket.

I’m so glad you liked the chapter, and thanks for the well wishes. I wish I felt better too, sadly I work doubles all weekend, and I’d really like this DISEASE to be over with by then. lol. (Disease…aka the common cold. I’m such a drama queen)

  3. Is it bad that I’m more surprised about Madeline’s new eyes (Mind=blown…again) than worried about the characters? 😛

    • LOL. When I downloaded those new eyes I thought of you. On my PC Madeline’s eyes didn’t look yellow, they looked hazel. When I was looking at pictures from story on my Kindle Fire HD, I was like…wow Kristeeny was right. They do have a certain yellowish hew to them. Haha. So I downloaded new eyes. I like them better, even if they are bright. At least Madeline doesn’t look like she has Jaundice anymore! Sorry to blow your mind–again! 🙂

  4. Sooo.. I have a confession. You see I have a bit of a cold so I skipped going to school for the day. I was looking for a good legacy and actually read all of what you had on the Hunt Legacy and nearly cried when I saw that your game was lost. So then I read all of what you have so far on the drake legacy. I did manage to do some homework and feed myself. But I am addicted! Thank you so much for this incredible story! ❤ and I'm so glad I found it today so I was able to read this new chapter without having to wait! I hope your feeling better after being under the weather. Also I just want to let you know I have completely fallen for Mika but I wish he would stop saying Mads would be better off without him. He's acting a bit childish and I think its making her feel guilty like she doesn't thing he really wants to stick with her. Which I really hope he does. They both have good genes their baby should turn out a super model!! Thanks for giving me something to do today. I appreciate it and ill have to keep checking in to make sure I don't fall behind on the story. 🙂

    • Wow, thank you so much! But I’m so glad I gave you something to do while you were sick. I do hope your feeling better today! 🙂

I too, have fallen for Mika. When I first created him, he was only susposed to play a very small part, but there was something about him that I liked, so I kept him around longer, and completely fell in love. I did play around in CAS and breed Madeline and Mika together to make sure there kids don’t look like Rodeo clowns. The kids were all attractive once you changed their hair of course (EA picks the ugliest outfits and hair to put people In at random) Thank you so much for your lovely comment, and I’m happy you enjoyed the story. 🙂

  5. :O omg… that was a very surprising cliff-hanger! Who was that? What will happen? My curiousity have begun to itch here and wants more (as I always want more of this fantastic story…) oh and poor Mika… he’ll wonder and worry about them now.
Take your time with this, there’s no need for stress. If you don’t feel well and not motivated, take your time until it’s back. You’ll get it back, I know it 🙂 Big hugs from me and hope that you’ll feel much better in the future! 😀

    • Thank you for your comment. I definitely will take my time. I’m have plenty of ideas, just been feeling blah. I think its a combo of not feeling well, and the I’m sick-to-death-of-winter-why-wont-it-just-go-away blues. I’m tired of sneezing, and my ears feel like they are filling with fluid even as I type. I looked in the mirror and I look like a hot mess, like someone you would keep your kid away if you pass then in a super market. A typhoid mary in pajama bottoms. (After I checked out of the grocery store the cashier grabbed a bottle of hand santizer and went to down–I was insulted) LMAO. (A note–I am clean and freshly showered–just sneezing and leaking fluid from my FACE) ROFL.

Anyhoo, I hijacked your comment. Thank you so much for reading and commenting. You rock!

  6. Uh, oh! They have been found out, it seems! That was one hell of a cliffhanger, woman!

Anyway, I loved the humour throughout the whole chapter: “it was really too bad that Hallmark didn’t make a card for something like that.” <—I simply had to laugh at that. And, on a slightly off-topic note, I'm all in favour of "dog-earing" books myself, I just had to say it, LOL.

    Can't wait for next chapter.

    • Thank you. I’m glad you liked the cliffhanger!! I’m eager to get to work on the next chapter, and already have a basic outline done.

I’m glad you liked the humour in this chapter. Yes, I liked the hallmark card too. I have often thought that in real life. Wouldn’t it be great if you could go in the store and pick up a card for any bad situation you were too cowardly to address. Can you imagine opening up a lovely card and inside it says “Sorry, I caught herpes from sleeping with the chick down the street.” Or. “Sorry, I slept with your brother and I’m pregnant with his baby.” I could go on…But i’ll save you from that. LOL.

Thank you so much for your comment Marta 🙂

  7. Argh. the next chapter had better be out soon or i’ll implode! What a cliff hanger, i’m 99% sure i know who the owner of the house is and it’s 100% not looking good. Oh God, I hope Meredith is okay, if she’d dead i don’t know what i;ll do!
This was such an emotional chapter overall though, the scene between Mika and Madeline was heartbreaking!.
On a kind of side note, I’ve noticed how much your writing has improved since the beginning of the Gallaghers, and even since the beginning of this, i mean, seriously you should be proud because this is by far one of the better stories out there!
    Loved it 🙂

    • Awww I don’t want you to implode! Yeah I’m pretty sure you know who the owner of the house is, and yeah things are not looking good. I wont give anything away, although I’m tempted too.

I’m glad you liked the scene between Mika and Madeline. Mika feels horrible putting her in this situation, and the stress is starting to systematically break him down bit by bit. It’s really sad. 😦

I’m glad you’ve noticed an improvement. It’s funny you say that because I think it’s getting worse. LMAO! But I’m always very negative about my writing, and have always been hard on myself. I tell myself every day It’s ok your not a professional, you’re doing this for fun–as a hobby, but it only helps somewhat. I do think its harder writing a sims story because you are limited by the game. I’ve written stories before on pen and paper that were a million times better then this, because I wasn’t confined by pictures, and I could let my imagination go wild. With sims stories, its a little different, if that makes sense.

It makes me so happy to know how much you like this story, as I look up to yours as I believe yours is one of the best there is out there. You have a natural writing ability that is inspiring. 🙂

  8. madeline should have went with her intution. our inner voices are always right and it was telling them to run. Mika get your butt over to the neighbor’s house with that gun now! it’s time to kill that monster.

  9. Oo who woukd hit a grandmother and a pregnant lady! They deserve to be beaten for that! I really hope maddy is ok!

  10. How awful! How could someone hurt two “innocent” trespassers?! I hope both of them are okay, as in not dead or brain damaged from taking a hit to the head.
I’m betting whoever commented on Part 1 that it was Mika’s grandfather that moved in is correct. Those pants and shoes look entirely too familiar.
    Great chapter.

    • lol at the innocent trespassers, especially when one brings a gift basket! How rude! Hehe. Yeah, I figured the pants and shoes would spark a few memories. Thanks for reading!!!

  11. Well, I’m glad her grandmother took the new very well.. Her concern for Maddie is natural, though I think that she needs to just let Maddie and Mika figure it out for themselves.. Every parents always says “go to the police” about stuff like this, when in all actuality, their could be dirty police that could even be involved as well >_>
Uh oh.. Maddie and her grandmother are in trouble :X I hope Mika realizes they’re gone for longer than they should be and comes to the rescue >_< hahaha

    • Yeah Meredith has learned to let go a little bit. Not only has Madeline grown from her situation, but so has Meredith, if only for the fact she has learned that Madeline has to make her own decisions in life, good or bad ones at that. Thanks so much for commenting MrsOB. ❤

  12. That last part made me LOL. Only because of what she said to the mysterious gentleman. Hmm. Seems like his grandfather found them after all…? I’m glad her grandmother took the news better than Madeleine expected her to. That would have been pretty rough on her if they ended up arguing and having to flee once more. I really hope Meredith, Madeleine and the baby are okay. 😦 This was a really great chapter! I’m excited to read what happens next!

    • LOL. Yeah the last part was totally my personality. When I’m sick, hurt, pissed. ect. I get snarky and sarcastic like that. Big time. Most of the time it ends up making the situation worse. I’m glad you liked the chapter! Thanks for reading Stormy! ❤

  13. Yup, I knew. I knew it. I hope Mika gets a clue or somethin’. Anyways, I’m glad Meredith took it better than expected. If they just left the basket on the porch, then they’d be safe!

  14. Hmm… thank god Meredith didn’t flip out and call the police right away, LOL. I was a little surprised at Mika’s reaction because I would have thought he’d be more angry that Madeline put them in even more danger by telling Meredith everything. Mika is definitely a calmer person than I, LOL. 😀
VC Andrews? I loved that book Flowers in the Attic, haha, I remember it being one of the first books I bought. XD
Then I wondered about them trespassing, and how if they did call the police, they’d be the ones who got in trouble instead, even if they tried to tell the police the truth, XD
I was weary when Meredith said new neighbors moved in as I had a feeling it would be someone from the mafia, o.O

    • Meredith has learned she needs to let go, and she knows she has to trust them to handle the situation. I’m sure it was quite tempting though!

VC Andrews! I loved that book too! I had all of them. It was one of the first books I bought too. I remember sneaking them off my mom’s book shelf cause she thought I was too young for books like that. I got hooked. They are so dark and miserable. When in a bad mood I would read that book and instantly feel better about my life. I would think. Ok, at least my life isn’t THAT fucked up. Worked every time! Hmm…now I want to read it again. I should download it on my kindle….hmm…Anyways!

Yeah, the mafia! Thanks for commenting Lateknight! ❤

  15. Wow! Amazing chapter!! I liked how it was a little bit of everything! There was sweetness, disagreements, suspense, and humor (my fav)! I loved the last part and it made me LOL. I’m surprised my hubby didn’t give me a funny look. 🙂

Great job on making us feel like it was a bad house. For a little bit, I actually thought maybe Meredith was being brave to go into the house because she had bought it. What was she thinking going into someone else’s house? She’s crazy!

After I figured out she really didn’t buy it, then I thought maybe Mika’s grandfather had bought it. He’d already found out where Madeline’s family lived. Only time will tell……

This week, I felt like sleeping all the time, too. I think on Tuesday from 4:30 to Wednesday @ 3:30, I slept for a TOTAL of 20 hours. It was beyond ridiculous, but I guess I needed it. Anyway, hope you can get more rest and enjoy your weekend!

    • I’m glad you liked how this chapter had a little bit of everything. I really liked the humor bits too. My fav as well, since that was totally my personality kicking in there. If I got hit upside the hell, my last words before I passed out would be to comment about the gift basket. I’m sarcastic big time. And my mouth has gotten me into trouble more then a few times!

Ugh! Sorry you are so sleepy too. I hope your not getting sick!

      • Nope, I’m all better! I think the sleepiness was due to staying up late (big time night owl), being at the tail end of the cold, and maybe a little bit of something else I’ve never been able to put my finger on. All gone now, though.

I am sarcastic, too! Somehow, though, I think you are much worse. One of my favorite shows (because of sarcasm) is Veronica Mars. Have you ever seen it?

    • I’m glad you liked the cliffhanger. I always feel so bad ending them that way, because when my favorite TV shows do it, I get super pissed off to wait a whole week. Haha. Thanks so much. I could never imagine people would like the story so much, it really does warm the heart. Thanks Kimeleon! ❤

  16. Major cliffhanger. . . . . . . . . . . . . .(can I just keep typing periods for every minute I wait?). . . . . .Lol!

I’m just waiting to see what happens to Mika. . . . .

I hate cliffhangers. . . . .I’m a very impatient person. You did awesome with it, I’m just an instant gratification person. Just makes me that much more excited about the next chapter though. 😉 Hahaha!

Well, someone in the comments from the last chapter mentioned the creepy house across the street and they were right. I just figured it was a creepy house.

I hope you’re feeling better! I’ve gone through 2 boxes of kleenex. 😦 and still going.

    • Aww that would be a lot of periods considering I’ve been sick and haven’t felt well enough to sit at my computer to finish. I’m also a very impatient person as well. I hate waiting! I hope your feeling better too! Thanks for reading Sandy!

  17. Ooooh! I have a sneaky suspicion I know who it is! I love all your legacys, even the discontinued ones. I really want to ask: How do you make your Sims and houses so realistic?
    -A newbie

    • Thank you Somesimsay! To answer your questions, I rarely make houses, everything is made by other awesome creators you can find in the custom CC page. 🙂 I can build alright, but it takes me FOREVER and I so don’t have much patience, so I just download stuff. As for the pictures, to get them to look realistic, I have a pretty good video card, and I have all the specs on the game turned up as high as they can go. I also have a couple lighting mods and other little tweaks to make the pictures pop. I hope that answers your question. 🙂

    • I wish in the game they could cry actually tears, but the tears in this picture are actually from makeup. I downloaded them, and i’ll have to dig up the link for you. 🙂

  18. Ooh. I figured that might happen. God I hope he didn’t hurt them. 😦

I mean – it wouldn’t really work as a legacy if Madeline died right now but I’m still really worried for them.

  19. OMG! So much going on in this chapter. So glad that Maddie told her grandmother everything. A little surprised that Maddie isn’t so willing to run now after telling her grandmother. All I could think was that every minute they stayed the sooner the bad guys would find them. Mike I’m willing to bet probably felt the same way. I’m thinking Maddie should take his word for it and run, after all he’s the one who grew up around it and knows what’s needs to be done.

I had a bad feeling the new neighbors and wanted to tell them to leave and not go in. I just know it’s the grandfather and their time just ran out.

  20. AHHHHH! So that cliff-hanger was completely and totally insane and I’m thanking all that is good in this world that I won’t have to wait to read the next chapter!!! I have to say though, Madeline’s words made me laugh. She is LYING in a pool of her own BLOOD and what she spits out is, “I take it you don’t like the gift basket?” I’d laugh harder if I weren’t terrified for the both of them. OFF TO THE NEXT! *action music*
