Preview of chapter 1.19 ((Spoilers))
Hey guys! Just figured I would do something a little bit different, and give you a spoiler of the next chapter to tide you over until the next one is released. Please note, it’s just a small little snippet, but I’m working on it right now, and hope to have it completed soon. And when I say soon, I mean Monday or Tuesday, because I work doubles all weekend, and I doubt I’ll be in any shape to sit at my computer at all. So far, the way this chapter is shaping up, it’s going to be pretty lengthy, but I’m having a blast with it so far, and I really hope you will enjoy it! Keep in mind, this is the first rough draft, and some things may be added or changed as I see fit. 🙂
Madeline’s POV:
Being knocked unconscious wasn’t like it was in the movies, where the heroine wakes up still looking beautiful, but hasn’t a clue where she is, and how she got there. No, when I woke up, It was face down in a puddle of my own blood, feeling like my head was a gong, and some sadistic asshole delighted in ringing said gong as much as possible. I knew exactly where I was, and what had happened, the smell of mothballs burning my nostrils, making me feel like I was going to be sick.
I cracked open an eyelid, even in the dim light it felt like the seventh circle of hell, and I squeezed them shut, the pain almost overwhelming with its intensity.
Ignoring the throbbing in my head, I sat up, my hands slipping in my congealing blood, and scrambled to my grandmothers side where she lay unconscious. I lifted her head into my lap, sagging with relief when I saw the slow rise and fall of her chest, and just a slight trickle of blood that flowed from her ear.
“Wake up!” I whispered. “Waaaaaaaakeup.” I slapped her cheeks lightly. Her eyelids fluttered gently, causing my heart to leap with hope.
“Madeline?” She asked, her face grimacing with pain. “What’s going on?”
“What’s happening is that I’m going to get us out of here…” I muttered, gently lowering her head back down to the floor and patting my thighs desperately for my cell phone. Leggings. Shit. Why did I have to wear leggings? Would it have killed me to wear something with pockets?
I turned back to my grandmother, patting her on the cheek once again. Her lids fluttered open. “Can you stand?” I demanded.
“I believe so.” Meredith whispered, as I helped her to her feet.

Yeah! I didn’t want anyone worrying about the grandmother thinking I killed her off. She’s a sweet old lady. As for the pictures, thank you so much. To get my pictures I always make sure the walls are up to make them realistic, then I hit tab on my keyboard so it removes the sims user interface, and use tilt controls and zoom to make the pictures the way I want them. If you need more of an explanation let me know and i’ll try to explain it further. 🙂

Thank you! The day I discovered poses it was the best day of my life! Ok so maybe an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. I could never go without poses now. Once you go poses you never go back! <.< Thanks for commenting Sarah ❤

I’ve never watched Doctor Who. But I have it in my Netflix queue, so I’ll get to it someday. I’ve heard so many good things about that show, but I still haven’t watched it yet. I really need too.

Awww sorry Kristeeny. I worked doubles all weekend, and the 8 hours inbetween shifts all I did was sleep. 16 hour days are killer!
Omg! Thank goodness they are ok! I just knew something bad was about to happen. I really love your story, love the way you use the pictures. You’ve inspired me to use more pics in my story. I usually just add one to show a scene, but love how you add several to give a much clearer picture of what’s going on and the emotion. Great job! Can’t wait to read more!!!
Thank you. 🙂 The pictures are my favorite part, and I do like showing a scene with as much detail as I can. But I love stories that use more words and less pics too. Every story is different and there is no wrong or right way. I love em all. 🙂

Thank you so much greeneyedsimmer! I hope to have this chapter out either today sometime or tomorrow. I must do some napping first. I’m not feeling the best after working 7 am-11 pm Saturday, then 7am-11 pm on Sunday. I’m sore and tired and feeling like 40 pounds of crap in a 10 pound bag. I look like a hot mess.
I can completely sympathize with you! Those crazy long days destroy you. I’ve done them quite a few times. And i just want to sleep for days afterwards.

Thank you. I’ve actually been sick. I was unlucky enough to come down with two different flu’s. Cause I’m awesome like that. I still feel completely worn out, but I’m on the mend though!

I’m melting!! I love this. I wish I was intelligent enough to figure out poses and mods so my legacy could be half as great as yours. ❤ your magnificent.
Aww don’t melt! When I first started I had no clue about poses, mods, anything. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy, but it took a lot of work, and trial and error. My first legacy was….bad. The beginning was really rough and I just took pictures of everything my sim did and mashed a story out of it somehow. Once you get going you’ll find your way. 🙂

Yeah it looks like a lot of blood, but all the blood spatter CC I could find was all in huge amounts. Haha. Don’t be alarmed!
Oh, I could have lived without a glance into the next chapter (I’m patient like that), but so glad you did let us see a little! I am glad to see them both up and moving around. That first picture scared me a little with all that blood. So, I’ve never seen puddles of blood….is that a pose? If so, where did you find it? I’ll probably never have use for it, but you never know. 🙂
As other posts have said, your pictures are absolutely amazing!! I just discovered the “Shift+A or D” to change angles, which I did not know you could do. I think I saw a pic of yours or sandy’s and thought, how do you do that? Then, I went on a quest to figure it out. I will probably use that somewhere. I love it! I think you must have an amazing graphics card, too! I think that is a huge reason pictures look amazing. I don’t think you have to have the best on the market, but something that wikianswers states can handle all the games you have.
Agree with you, once you do poses, you NEVER go back! I can’t even imagine never using them again. I don’t ALWAYS use them (they can be kind of time consuming, especially if you are up on something), but I do try to fit them in because I feel like it enhances the story. I love my pictures and can’t imagine my story with out them. Huge picture fan!
Oh, and same with lighting mods, I will NEVER go back to the normal EA lighting. I could NOT live without my lighting mods! I feel like the colors are so much better with them!
I can’t imagine working doubles. Granted, I guess I sometimes work 12 hours, but it is like maybe every other month. So, I can handle that. Hope you still continue to get better!
I know what you mean! The day I found the tilt controls I was like TADA!!!! Now I’m so obsessed with perfect angles to pictures, but I’m still learning!
As for poses, you are SO right. That and CC, I could never go back to not having either of them. I Think that’s what bugs me about the sims 4 so much is that it will be awhile before people start creating CC for the game. I can’t play without it now, I’m hopelessly addicted.
Yeah doubles are brutal. It makes for some long days, that’s for sure! It takes a few days to recover from them.

I cannot wait until the next chapter! I think I have that blood CC too-13Sims or something? I used it for a modelling mock. When I started using CC, I only got it from MTS. Now I get it off pretty much any place I please. I do scan it with anti-virus protection and so far, zilch computer nasties. I did get a virus before from one website-one I cannot download from again, sigh.
I could never go back to boring ‘ol EA stuff. It really is awful and far too little kids friendly. Obviously, don’t include stripper poles with the game, but seriously, Juice?
What lighting mods do you use? The one light I use is Lucid Light, which is good.
Sorry I made you wait so long for the next chapter *Blushes* Yeah the blood spatter was from the 13th Sim or something like that. I love the blood splatter, just wish it was a tad bit smaller. Haha.
I agree about what you said with the CC, its hard to play without it now. I honestly think I wouldn’t play at all if I couldn’t have CC. That’s probably why I wont play the Sims 4, at least until people start pumping out CC, even then I’m weary. This game still has a lot of milage in it, in my opinion.
The lighting mod I use is from Burnt Waffles. Her stuff is AMAZING!
LMAO! I loved the description of waking up from being knocked out. I’m so spoiled that I get to go right into the chapter. Disappearing for months on ends does occasionally have an upside. 🙂
