Just a quick note to let you all know it might take a little longer than usual to get the next chapter out. Been having some game issues related to CC. I’ve narrowed it down to my package files, but I have over 2 thousand package files to sort through. I guess this is what happens when you’re not organized. Now the game runs fine, without adding my package files, but I refuse to play without CC. So once I find out what CC is causing the game not to load I’ll be back. At first I thought it was a mod, but if I take everything out and only run the mods the game starts up. So I’ll keep on searching!! ((Bangs head))
Everything is triple backed up to be on the same side, and I’m not worried about losing anything. I can play the game just fine as long as I remove my package CC from the mods folder. It might take some time to figure out which one is giving me the issue. I swear, this game can be so damn frustrating sometimes I feel like ripping my hair out. Probably going to do the 50/50 method, which has worked for me in the past, it’s just time-consuming as hell, plus dealing with work at the same time.
Anyhoo…this might turn out to be a good thing as I can catch up on other people’s stories as well. A little break away from the game never hurt anyone anyways. 🙂

I keep my package files in like 6 different folders to help me narrow it down for stuff like that… The Ravenwoods have taught me how to be better organized these days… ^_~

That’s good, I hope It all works out for you. I know the pain of having to go through all you package files. It’s not a fun experience, especially when you have a lot to go through.
Also my folders are labeled as thus,
C Stuff (mostly clothes these days and a few Cmar mods)
Hair (yes it needs its own folder)
Jonha_Sliders (for the few sliders I have)
Nraas (LOVE these)
Other (no drift camera, OMSP, stuff without a place)
Peggy Sims (yep needs its own also)
Poses (I need 3 of these actually, one on the mod folder and two on my desktop for used and untouched yet)
Skin (Lots and lots of skin)
It helps tons when one needs updating. I just pull all but two folders out, start up the game. if it’s good, I’ll add two more… it’s bad I’ll pull one of the two and test, then once the folder is found I can search the folder and see what might be updated and replace it and test.
Last time it only took me about half an hour… but before I started organizing my folders it would take me days.
I recently had to do this myself. Turned out it was a pose pack. Hope you discover which buggy CC that’s causing your game to not load. I can’t play without CC either. 😛
Glad you figured out your issue! I figured out the issue. As someone suggested to me in this comment below. I downloaded delphy dashboard and found a few corrupt package files.

I hate game issues. I’ve been dealing with one that says “Unable to Connect to EA download Manager” for a few months now. All I want to do is tell my game, “THAT’S BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO HEART.THAT’S PROBABLY WHY YOU AND EA DOWNLOAD MANAGER BROKE UP ANYWAYS. BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T CONNECT WITH HIM.”
OMG me too! Ugh. This game is so frustrating sometimes. I’m sorry you are having issues too. Never heard of your problem before. 😦 I hope you can figure it out soon.
CC issues or any issues with the game are really annoying.

You got that right! CC is very frustrating, but I can’t resist using it.
I really need to organize my CC. It’s just that there’s so much and it would be a big project. I’m glad you’ve got back ups of everything! The 50/50 method worked great for me in the past too. Hope you find the problem fast so you don’t have to spend a ton of time looking!
Yeah I started out with the 50/50 method which was taking forever, turns out, I had 4 package files go bad. Its crazy.
There’s a program, I believe by Delphy, that doesn’t it for you. It finds the corrupt file and highlights it in red for you. The website crinrict hasn’t on there. http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/

Thank you. 🙂 I got the problem fixed now thanks to Ashley who recommended Delphy Dashboard tool. Scanned all my package files and highlighted the problem files in red. Easy peasy. Just got into my game and it works now. Phew

That’s how it is isn’t it – the game ain’t worth playing without the cc, and with it about half the time it doesn’t work…

Isn’t that the truth? I can’t resist CC and I can’t play without it. Its just not the same without new clothes and hair to choose from. I’m so glad its fixed now. I was starting to go insane!
